In this tutorial you will add an agenda to an event, so visitors see what happens when, and who is speaking. You need the free Eventonomy plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Find Agenda in the editor. Add the first session. Add more sessions. Reorder and update. Then see the agenda on the event page. Step one. Find Agenda in the editor. In your WordPress admin, open Eventonomy, then Events. Click Create Event, or Edit on an event you have. Agenda is in the Description section, under Short summary. It is optional, and its times are in the time zone of the event. Step two. Add the first session. Click Add session. A blank session opens. Type the Session title. A session with no title is not kept. Set Starts and Ends. Ends is optional. Speaker and Short description are optional too. Type the name of the speaker as plain text. Step three. Add more sessions. With one session in place, click Add session again. The new session starts where the last one ended, here at half past nine. Back to back sessions are quick to enter. Give it a title too. A session that ends before it starts is marked, and the event is not saved until it is fixed. Step four. Reorder and update. This conference runs for two days, so each session has a Day box. One for the first day, two for the second. On the event page, sessions run by start time within each day. Move up and Move down order sessions that share a start time, or have none. Remove takes one out. When the agenda is right, click Update event. On a new event, click Publish event. Step five. See the agenda on the event page. As a visitor, the event page has a section named Agenda, after the description. Each session shows its time, its title, the speaker and the description. Because the sessions are on two days, they are grouped under a heading for each day. Day two is Thursday, November twelve. That is all five. Agenda found in the editor, the first session added, more sessions added, the order set and the event updated, and the agenda seen on the event page. Your visitors can now see what happens when at your event. Next in this series: Add an events calendar.
