Eventonomy

For nonprofits and churches

Free sign-ups for the groups that need free to mean free.

Volunteer days, services, fundraisers, and community meals run on the free plugin. No monthly fee, no event cap, no cut of your donations.

GPL, self-hosted · unlimited events and RSVPs on the free plan

Sounds familiar?

Organizing goodwill with the wrong tools

The budget line says zero

Event platforms want monthly fees or a cut of donations. Your board wants every dollar going to the mission.

Sign-ups arrive as email threads

Who is vegetarian, who needs a large t-shirt, who can drive: it is all buried in forty reply-alls.

Volunteers slip through the cracks

People offer to help, nobody confirms, and Saturday morning you are short six pairs of hands.

RSVPs and questions · Free

Every answer you need, at sign-up

Add custom questions to the RSVP form: dietary needs, t-shirt size, volunteer role, ride sharing. Answers land next to each RSVP in the admin and in the CSV export.

  • Four answer types. Short text, paragraph, dropdown, or checkbox, required or optional.
  • No accounts needed. Congregants and volunteers RSVP with a name and email. A magic link handles changes.
  • Capacity and waitlist. Cap the kitchen crew at 12 and let the waitlist hold the rest.

Donations

Donation tickets, without the awkward fee

Donation tickets let supporters choose their own amount. The honest split: the free plugin records pledges, and Pro processes the payment through your gateway.

  • No platform cut. With Pro, only the gateway fee applies. Nothing goes to us per ticket.
  • Mix ticket types. Pair a free dinner seat with an optional donation on the same event.
  • Five gateways in Pro. Stripe, PayPal, Square, Mollie, or WooCommerce, your treasurer's pick.

Recurring events · Free

Weekly services, monthly drives, set once

Sunday service, the second-Saturday food drive, the monthly board meeting. Each is one recurring rule that fills the calendar for the whole year.

  • Each date stands alone. Every occurrence has its own page and its own volunteer list.
  • Cancel one, keep the rest. A holiday week is one click, not a rebuilt calendar.
  • Members can subscribe. The ICS feed puts your schedule in their phone's calendar, updated live.

Coordination

Hand the coordinator one clean list

Export any event's attendees and their answers to CSV, free. The kitchen lead gets dietary counts, the driver gets the carpool list, nobody digs through email.

  • Answers included. Custom question responses ride along in the same file.
  • Branded emails, free. Confirmations carry your organization's name and logo.
  • Volunteers can self-serve. The magic link lets people update their own RSVP when plans change.

Volunteer day

From announcement to river bank

  1. Three weeks out

You publish River cleanup day with role and t-shirt questions on the form.

  2. Sign-ups arrive

Volunteers RSVP from the newsletter link. No accounts, no friction.

  3. One week out

You export the CSV: 41 people, 12 on trash pickup, sizes counted for the shirt order.

  4. Day before

A branded email reminds everyone about the 8:00 am start and what to bring.

  5. Saturday

Full crews, right shirt sizes, and a clean river bank by noon.

Which plan?

Most nonprofits never need to pay

The free plugin covers sign-ups, questions, waitlists, recurring events, and exports with no limits. Add Pro only when you charge cards for donations or tickets, or want SMS reminders.

Questions

Nonprofits ask

Is the free plugin enough for a volunteer group?

Usually yes. Unlimited events, RSVPs with waitlists, custom questions, recurring events, and CSV exports are all free. There is no event cap and no trial clock.

Can we collect donations?

Donation tickets exist in both plans, honestly split: the free plugin records a pledge without charging it, and Pro charges the card through your payment gateway.

Can we ask sign-up questions like dietary needs or t-shirt size?

Yes, free. Add short text, paragraph, dropdown, or checkbox questions, mark them required or optional, and read the answers in the admin or the CSV export.
