How to check people in at the door with Eventonomy Pro, step by step. Every ticket has a QR code, in My tickets and in the confirmation email. The organizer opens Check in in the member dashboard and picks the event. Scan a ticket with any phone camera while signed in, or with a USB barcode reader, and it is checked in. When a ticket will not scan, type a name or an email in Find attendee and click Check in. The count at the top shows how many people are in.
In this tutorial you will check people in at the door of an event in Eventonomy, by scanning a ticket or by finding a name. You need Eventonomy Pro, and an event with registrations. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. See the QR code on a ticket. Open Check in. Scan a ticket. Find someone by name. Then read the count and undo a mistake. Step one. See the QR code on a ticket. Now signed in as a member who holds tickets. In the member dashboard, My tickets lists each upcoming ticket with its own QR code. The code holds a check-in link for that one ticket. The same code is in the confirmation email. A ticket marked Going gets someone in. If the holder opens their own code, they are told to show it at the door. Step two. Open Check in. Now signed in as the member who runs the event. In the member dashboard, click Check in. It lists your upcoming events. Click Check in beside the event you are at the door of. The event opens, with its name at the top. Step three. Scan a ticket. There is no scanner app to install. Sign in to your site in your phone's browser first, then point the camera at the code, and open the link it shows. The ticket is checked in when the person scanning runs the event, or is a site administrator. A second scan of the same ticket reads Already checked in. A USB barcode reader works on this screen too. Click in Find attendee and scan. The reader types the link and presses Enter. Step four. Find someone by name. When a ticket will not scan, type a name or an email in Find attendee. The guest list narrows as you type. Click Check in on the row of the person in front of you. A person who is already in reads Checked in, and cannot be counted twice. Step five. Read the count and undo a mistake. The line at the top counts people checked in, out of everyone registered, guests included. It goes up with each person. To undo a mistake, open Hosting, click Manage on the event, and find the person. Their button reads Checked in. Click it, and it goes back to Check in. That is all five. The QR code on a ticket, Check in opened, a ticket scanned, a person found by name, and the count read. You can now run the door of your event. Next in this series: Read analytics and reports.

Prompt and thorough feedback and responses, very easy to work with, really excellent customer service. I'm grateful to the team, particularly Kerit and Shashank, for their patience and help.
Swift and expert coding by Kerit to apply a personalised display adjustment on the Reign Theme for a media plugin that was not fully supported at the moment.
I received a very nice answer just a few hours after I created a ticket. Funnily enough, the feature I had requested in my ticket had just been implemented and released, so Kerit asked me to update the LD Dashboard plugin. It all works as I had hoped for my use case. Maybe I wasn't the first to…
