How to use the week and day views in Eventonomy Pro, step by step. With Eventonomy Pro active, Week and Day join the views on your events page under Eventonomy, then Settings, then Appearance. The Calendar view card sets the first and last hour, the time slot size, and two limits for busy calendars. For any other page, use the Week View and Day View blocks or the shortcodes [eventonomy_week] and [eventonomy_day]. Then see both views as a visitor.
In this tutorial you will use the week and day views, which lay your events out hour by hour. You need Eventonomy Pro. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Turn on Week and Day. Set the hours and the slot size. Add the views to any page. See the Week view. Then see the Day view. Step one. Turn on Week and Day. In your WordPress admin, open Eventonomy, then Settings, then Appearance. Find the card named Event views. With Eventonomy Pro active, Week and Day are in Enabled views, already ticked. Each one is a tab on your events page. To open your events page on one of them, set Default view to Week or to Day. Step two. Set the hours and the slot size. Lower on the same screen is the card named Calendar view. It must be On. Day starts at and Day ends at set the first and last hour of both grids. Time slot size sets the height of one row. Fifteen, thirty or sixty minutes. Under Week and Day grid caps, tick Limit events per time slot or Limit events per day, and set the number. Past a limit, the rest are shown as a count. Then click Save changes. Step three. Add the views to any page. Your events page already has both tabs. For any other page, open Eventonomy, then Blocks. Under Pro blocks is Week View. Add it as a block, or paste its shortcode on a classic theme or a page builder. Day View works the same way, with its own shortcode. Step four. See the Week view. As a visitor, open your events page and click Week. Seven days run across the top, and the hours run down the side. Each event is a block that starts at its start time and ends at its end time. A longer event is a taller block. Events that last all day sit in the All day row, above the hours. The arrows move one week at a time. Step five. See the Day view. Click Day, and the same grid shows one day at full width. The block shows the times and the title of the event. The arrows move one day at a time. Click a block, in either view, and the event page opens, with the way to register. That is all five. Week and Day turned on, the hours and the slot size set, the views added to any page, the Week view, and the Day view. Your visitors can now read your events hour by hour. Next in this series: Show events as a photo grid.
