In this tutorial you will set up ticket types and prices for an event in Eventonomy. You need the free Eventonomy plugin. Taking payment for a paid ticket also needs Eventonomy Pro and a payment gateway. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the Tickets tab. Name a ticket and choose its type. Set the price and how many. Add another ticket type. Copy tickets from another event. Then see the tickets on your site. Step one. Open the Tickets tab. In your WordPress admin, open Eventonomy, then Events, and click the name of the event. The Event Workspace opens. Click the Tickets tab. Each box on this tab is one ticket type. This event has three. Step two. Name a ticket and choose its type. Ticket name is what buyers see. This one is General admission. Type has three choices: Free, Paid and Donation. Once a ticket has been sold it can no longer be removed. The line beside Remove says so. Step three. Set the price and how many. Price is in your store currency. A free ticket ignores it. Quantity is how many of this ticket can be sold. Zero means no limit. Sales start and Sales end are optional dates. A ticket is sold only between them. Early-bird pricing, beside them, comes with Eventonomy Pro. The next tutorial covers it. Step four. Add another ticket type. Scroll to the end of the list and click Add ticket. A new box opens. Give it a name, a type, a price and a quantity. Then click Update event. Nothing on this tab is stored until you do. Step five. Copy tickets from another event. The box with that name is at the top of the Tickets tab. A site owner can pick any event. A member picks from their own events. Click the box and pick an event, or type part of its name. Its ticket types are copied in under the ones already here, with their names, types, prices and quantities. You can edit them before you click Update event. Step six. See the tickets on your site. This is the event page, as a visitor sees it. Each ticket type has its own row, with its price. Front row plus print kit has no places left, so it reads Sold out. The lower price on General admission is an early bird, from Eventonomy Pro. This site has a payment gateway connected, so a visitor picks a quantity and the total appears. Without one, a paid ticket shows its price and the words Not on sale. The payment gateways have their own tutorials. That is all six. The Tickets tab opened, a ticket named and typed, its price and quantity set, another type added, tickets copied from a past event, and the tickets seen on your site. Your event now has ticket types and prices. Next in this series: Set early-bird pricing.
