An event website with RSVP. What is it, and how do you build one? It is a page for your event where guests reply in one click. The details in one place. A button to say yes. And a guest list that updates itself. Most organisers still collect replies by hand. Some arrive in a chat, some by email, some in person. You copy them into a spreadsheet, and fix it every time someone changes their mind. And on the day, you still do not know who is really coming. An RSVP page replaces all of that. The guest opens the event page. They click Register. They get a confirmation by email. And you see the count change, without touching anything. Here it is on a WordPress site. Every event has a card, and each card opens its own page. A neighbour reads the details of a picnic and clicks Register. That is the whole reply. The page then shows how many people are going, so the next visitor sees it filling up. The reply can carry more than a yes. Going or maybe. Extra guests. A limit on places. A waitlist when the event is full. A deadline for replies. And questions of your own, like a meal choice. A club uses the same button for its weekly run. A member is signed in, so one click is enough. Guests do not need an account. A name and an email is enough. A private link arrives by email, and from that link they can change their reply or cancel it. When someone cancels, the next person on the waitlist moves up. A teacher uses it for office hours. A student books a place, and the confirmation is on the page. After the reply, the site keeps working. Each guest gets a confirmation email. Reminders go out a day before, and an hour before. And every guest can add the event to their own calendar. Building one takes four steps. Install the plugin on your WordPress site. Run the setup wizard, which creates the event pages for you. Create your event, with a date, a place and a limit. Then share the link, and let the replies come in. Side by side. Replies in five places, or in one list. You count heads, or the page counts for you. A full event that turns people away, or one that keeps a waitlist. And an invite on an app you rent, or a page on your own website. Other organisers already send one link and watch the list fill. Every event you run by hand costs you an evening of chasing replies. Eventonomy is the free events plugin for WordPress. Love this company. Loved the REIGN product. They were there the entire time helping me set things up; and when things went wrong? They were quick to take action and help find a solution.
