How to put events on a page in Eventonomy, step by step. Find every block under Eventonomy, then Blocks, open the Events page that Eventonomy made for you, add a block from the Block Inserter by searching Eventonomy, or paste a shortcode on a classic theme or a page builder. Then see the page as a member, with the Grid, List and Month views.
In this tutorial you will put your events on a page in Eventonomy, with a block or with a shortcode. You need the free Eventonomy plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Find the Eventonomy blocks. Open your Events page. Add a block to a page. Or paste a shortcode. Then see the page as a member. Step one. Find the Eventonomy blocks. In your WordPress admin, open Eventonomy, then Blocks. Core blocks lists every block in the free plugin. Each card says what the block shows and where to use it. Eventonomy Events List shows event cards, with a Load more button. Used on names the pages that hold the block now. Here, the page named Events. Step two. Open your Events page. Eventonomy made a page named Events when you activated it. Open Pages, and edit that page. Click Document Overview, at the top left, to see what the page holds. Three blocks. Eventonomy Search and Filter, Eventonomy Events List and Eventonomy Calendar. Step three. Add a block to a page. On any page, click the Block Inserter, the plus button at the top left. Search for Eventonomy. Eventonomy's blocks are listed. Some of them belong to Eventonomy Pro. Click a block to add it to the page. Eventonomy Upcoming Events is a short list that fits a home page. Then click Save, at the top right. This tutorial leaves the page as it was. Step four. Or paste a shortcode. On a classic theme or a page builder, use the shortcode. Back on Blocks, every core block has one. Copy puts it on your clipboard. Paste it into the page where the events belong. Under some shortcodes are options. For this one, per page sets how many events load, and category shows one category. Step five. See the page as a member. Sign in as a member and open Events. Search and Filter draws the search box, the filters and the view switcher. Events List draws the events under it, as a Grid or as a List. Click Month, and the Calendar block shows each event on its day. Week and Day come with Eventonomy Pro. That is all five. The Eventonomy blocks found, your Events page opened, a block added to a page, the shortcode, and the page seen as a member. Your events are on a page. Next in this series: Choose the event page layout: Ticket or Classic.
