How a member buys a ticket in Eventonomy, step by step. On the event page, the box Get your tickets lists each ticket type with its price: use plus and minus to choose how many. The box works out the Total, takes a Coupon code, and fills in Who are these tickets for from the member's account. Click Get tickets to place the order and go on to pay. Afterwards the event page reads You're going, View your tickets opens the receipt with a check-in code for each ticket and Download invoice (PDF), and My tickets in the member dashboard keeps Upcoming tickets and Orders and receipts in one place.
In this tutorial you will see how a member buys a ticket in Eventonomy, and where the receipt and the ticket are kept. The site needs Eventonomy Pro and a payment gateway. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Pick your tickets. Check the order. Place the order. Open your receipt. Then find it all in My tickets. Step one. Pick your tickets. This is an event page, signed in as a member. The box on the right reads Get your tickets. It lists each ticket type with its price. Use plus and minus to choose how many. Here it is one Wheel place. Step two. Check the order. Once a ticket is picked, the box works out the Total. If you have a discount code, type it into Coupon code and click Apply. Who are these tickets for is filled in from your account. First name, Last name and Email are needed. Phone is optional. Under it, Add a donation is optional too. Step three. Place the order. Click Get tickets, at the foot of the box. The order is placed, and you are sent on to pay. You pay the Total shown here. How you pay depends on the payment gateway the site uses. When the payment goes through, your tickets are issued. Step four. Open your receipt. This member bought a ticket for this event earlier. Its box now reads You are going, with the order number. Click View your tickets. The receipt opens. It has the order number, the amount paid, and a check-in code for each ticket. Show it at the door. Download invoice gives you a P D F to keep. Step five. Find it all in My tickets. On the Manage Events page of the site, click My tickets. Upcoming tickets lists each event you are going to, with its check-in code. Further down, Orders and receipts lists every order, with its total and its status. View receipt opens the confirmation for that order again, at any time. That is all five. Tickets picked, the order checked, the order placed, the receipt opened, and everything found in My tickets. You now know what your buyers see, from the event page to the ticket. Next in this series: Handle refunds and cancel requests.
