In this tutorial you will set early-bird pricing in Eventonomy, a lower ticket price that ends by itself. You need Eventonomy Pro with a payment gateway connected, and an event with a paid ticket. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the ticket. Set the early-bird price. Set when the offer ends. See the offer on the event page. Then check an early-bird order. Step one. Open the ticket. In your WordPress admin, open Eventonomy, then Events, and click the name of the event. In the Event Workspace, click the Tickets tab. Find the paid ticket you want to discount. Here it is General admission, with a Price of 45 dollars. Step two. Set the early-bird price. Every ticket has a box named Early-bird pricing. It applies to paid tickets only. Early-bird price is what a buyer pays while the offer is open. Here it is 35 dollars. It is used only when it is lower than the Price of the ticket, so an early bird can never cost a buyer more. Step three. Set when the offer ends. Early-bird ends is the date and the time the offer closes. A ticket has one early-bird price and one end date. Leave both fields empty, as on the Student ticket, and the ticket always sells at its Price. Then click Update event. Step four. See the offer on the event page. This is the event page, as a visitor sees it. While the offer is open, the ticket shows the early-bird price, the full price struck through, and the words Early bird until, with the day the offer ends. A visitor who picks this ticket is charged the early-bird price. The Total for one ticket is 35 dollars. When the end time passes, the page goes back to the full price by itself. There is nothing for you to switch off. Step five. Check an early-bird order. Back in the admin, open Attendees and Orders, then the Orders tab, and click View on an order. This buyer took two General admission tickets while the offer was open. The Total is 70 dollars: two tickets at the early-bird price of 35, not at 45. That is all five. The ticket opened, the early-bird price set, the end of the offer set, the offer seen on the event page, and an early-bird order checked. Your ticket now has an early-bird price that ends by itself.
