Visitors who see upcoming events on every page sign up more often. In this video you will show events in a sidebar with the new Eventonomy widgets, then handle cancellations and refunds from the front end. You need the free Eventonomy plugin. Refunding a payment needs Eventonomy Pro. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Open the widget editor. Find the event widgets. Open the attendee list. Then cancel, decline or refund an order. Step one. Open the widget editor. In your WordPress admin, open Appearance, then Widgets. Each sidebar of your theme is a box you can add blocks to. Click the plus button, Block Inserter, at the top left, to add a block. Step two. Find the event widgets. Open the inserter, and search for Eventonomy. Four blocks are built for narrow areas. Upcoming Events lists the next events. Next Event shows one card with a Register or Get tickets button. Mini Calendar shows a small month. Event Search opens your events page. Each has an optional Title. Then click Update to publish the sidebar. Step three. Open the attendee list. As an organizer, open Manage, then the event. Recent paid orders list who bought. Scroll down to the attendee list. Search attendees finds a person, and each order has its own buttons. Step four. Cancel, decline or refund an order. Cancel order ends the order, and the ticket is released. When a ticket holder has asked for a refund, Decline request keeps the order as it is. With Eventonomy Pro, an order paid through an online gateway also shows Refund payment, which returns the money. The orders on this site were paid another way, so that button does not show here. That is all four. The widget editor opened, the event widgets found, the attendee list opened, and orders cancelled, declined or refunded from the front end. Your events are ready to be seen.
