In this tutorial you will cancel one date of a repeating event in Eventonomy, and leave the rest of the series alone. You need the free Eventonomy plugin, and an event that already repeats. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open the dates of the series. Cancel one date. Restore a cancelled date. Then see the result on your site. Step one. Open the dates of the series. In your WordPress admin, open Eventonomy, then Events, and click the name of the repeating event. In the Event Workspace, click the Details tab. Scroll down to Upcoming dates. Every date in the series has its own row. Step two. Cancel one date. Find the date that will not happen, and click Cancel this date on its row. It takes effect at once, with no other button to click. The note above the list says what happens. The date leaves the calendar and the public event page, and the rest of the series does not change. Step three. Restore a cancelled date. A cancelled date stays in this list, marked Cancelled. Here it is the twenty-seventh of October. Restore, on the same row, brings the date back. A date cannot be moved to another day. Cancel it, then use Create Event to add a separate event for the new day. Step four. See the result on your site. This is the event page, as a visitor sees it, with its list of Upcoming dates. After the twentieth of October comes the third of November. The cancelled date is not there. The page still takes registrations for the dates that remain. That is all four. The dates of the series opened, one date cancelled, a cancelled date restored, and the result seen on your site. One date is off, and the series carries on. Next in this series: Run an online event with a join link.
