In this tutorial you will find your way around the Eventonomy admin, so you know where everything lives before you create an event. You need the free Eventonomy plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the Eventonomy menu. Read the Command Center. Find your events. Find your attendees. Find the settings. Then see the member side. Step one. Open the Eventonomy menu. In your WordPress admin, click Eventonomy. It opens on the Command Center. Eventonomy has its own menu, down the left of every one of its screens. It starts as a column of icons. Click Expand menu, at the top of it, to see the names. There are three groups. Manage, Grow and Configure. Step two. Read the Command Center. Four numbers sit at the top. Upcoming events, Registrations, Revenue and Capacity fill. Each number is a link to the list behind it. Date range, above them, sets the period for Registrations and Revenue. Needs attention lists what is waiting for you. Each row has a link to the screen that deals with it. The same count sits in the header of every screen, beside Search and Create Event. Step three. Find your events. Under Manage, click Events. Every event on the site is listed, with its status, its next date and its registrations. The row of stages above the list filters it, with stages such as Draft, Pending, Published, Past and Cancelled. Click a title to open that event. Its workspace has tabs for Overview, Attendees, Tickets, Orders, Promote and Details. Step four. Find your attendees. Under Manage, click Attendees and Orders. Everyone registered for any of your events is in one list. Filter it by status, such as Going, Maybe, Waitlist or Cancelled, or search by name or email. The Orders tab lists every order placed. Venues, Organizers, and Categories and Tags are in the same group. They hold the places, hosts and topics you reuse across events. Step five. Find the settings. Under Configure, click Settings. Its sections open below it in the menu, starting with Setup. Click a section to open it. Appearance holds the date format, the event views and the event page layout. Setup and Health, in the same group, runs the system checks. Blocks lists what you can place on a page. Reports, Coupons, Payouts and Sync Sources belong to Eventonomy Pro, which is active on this site. Step six. See the member side. Sign in as a member and open Events on your site. This is where people browse your events, as a Grid, a List or a Month calendar. Week and Day come with Eventonomy Pro. Members run their own events from the member dashboard. Hosting lists the events they run. Attending lists the ones they joined. That is all six. The Eventonomy menu, the Command Center, your events, your attendees, the settings, and the member side. You now know where everything lives in Eventonomy. Next in this series: Run the setup wizard and read the health check.
