Eventonomy

RSVP Block

The RSVP block (eventonomy/rsvp) lets visitors respond to an event (going, maybe, or no) with an optional guest count. Guests without an account can still RSVP: they get a magic link so they can manage or cancel their response later without logging in.

When to Use It

Add it to your single-event template, directly below the Single Event block, so every event page has a working RSVP form. You can also add it to a standalone page if you want an RSVP form outside the normal template.

How to Add It

Block Editor:

  1. Open your single-event template in the Block Editor.
  2. Click + and search for Eventonomy RSVP.
  3. Insert the block below the Single Event block.

On a single-event template, the block automatically detects the current event. There's no shortcode for this block; it's designed to live on the single-event template.

Settings

Setting Attribute Type Default Description
Event ID eventId number 0 Which event the RSVP is for. Auto-detects on a single-event template.

What Visitors Can Do

Visitors choose going, maybe, or no, and can add a guest count if the event allows guests. Anyone without an account still gets a magic link (valid for 7 days) to come back and change or cancel their RSVP.

Custom questions

If the Custom questions feature is on, the form also asks the registration questions this event asks - the subset the organizer ticked in the event editor, not everything in the site-wide bank. An event that ticked nothing shows no questions; an event created before the per-event picker existed asks the whole bank. See RSVPs.

When the block renders nothing

The block only shows a registration form for events set to People register here. On an event set to Registration is on another site the single-event page shows a Register button pointing at that address instead, and on No registration needed there is no registration UI at all. This is enforced on the server, so the block cannot be used to register for an event that does not take registrations.
